Tickets for this fantastic event are £5 and include Tea or Coffee and takes place at Leaside Church, Leaside Walk, East Street Ware SG12 9BT.
Caroline will be talking about the book, taking questions from the audience as well as signing copies of her beautifully illustrated book.
Caroline is well known for her lead roles in the award-winning British sitcom Men Behaving Badly and crime drama Jonathan Creek. But as well as her career as an actor, she has been a passionate gardener for many years.
In Drawn to the Garden, Caroline’s joy from spending time in her garden shines through. Written in a warm and engaging way that reflects her personality, she tells stories of growing chillies from seed in her greenhouse, berating the thieving blackbirds in her fruit cage and swimming in her pond singing to dragon flies and flag irises. She explains that she has come to realise that gardening is a series of happy accidents, unplanned successes and frustrating failures – just like life itself.
The book is beautifully illustrated b Caroline and includes practical tips, recipes and even the occasional favourite poem. As she likes to misquote Dorothy Parker: “Take to horticulture, it’s cheaper than a shrink”.
